A heads up to all iPhone/iPad users. iOS 15 will include several new features and additions, including a built-in authenticator.
Multi-factor authentication (sometimes referred to as two-factor authentication or 2FA) has become one of the most secure ways to add protection to your online accounts. In the past, users have relied on third-party apps like Google Authenticator, though Apple’s included authentication system would remove the need to rely on those third-party apps.
Like Authy, Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator, iOS 15’s system will let users generate verification codes for their various accounts directly from the iPhone’s Settings app. More secure iPhones? Yes, please.
